LUSH Dream Cream {Review}

LUSH Dream Cream
So I just finished this little tub recently. I thought I'd share my thoughts on LUSH's popular and best-selling Dream Cream. My first impression, the smell. It's definitely not something I'd expect it to be. When I saw the name "dream cream", I thought of something with sweet or floral scents. But the smell of this Dream Cream was actually quite interesting at first. It smells calm and earthy. And it definitely needs some "get-used-to-it" time.

Snowflake Nail Art {Tutorial}

In today's tutorial, I'm going to show you a snowflake nail art using just dotting tools. I did it in a white/pink theme instead of the traditional white/blue...I kinda like it cuz it's PINK and it looks cute and girly. From far away, you can't really see the snowflake detail, but up close, you can see the cute snowflake which I think it's pretty nice!

Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation {Review and Swatch}

Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation | Left: 118 Flesh | Right: 120 Soft Sand

Today's post is a little bit different... it's not your typical nail post. I wanted to talk about a foundation that I have been enjoying using over the past months. It's Make Up For Ever's HD Invisible Cover Foundation. Ok, I am a little bit late on this, but better late than never, right?

This MUFE HD foundation is an oil-free medium, yet buildable coverage foundation that feels light on the skin. This foundation is designed to create a soft-focus effect that will give your complexion a flawless finish. And it comes in 26 shades!!! So it will pretty much suit all skintones!

For a medium coverage foundation, I think this is quite pigmented. I only need less than a pump for the whole face if I am going for a natural everyday makeup look. This HD foundation is pigmented enough to blur out all the minor imperfections. (I guess that's what they call it "soft-focus", hence it photographs beautifully!!)  Then I will do the rest with my trusty concealers. Or if you want, you can always layer it up for full coverage!

Hello there! Finally the weather is cooling down. I wanted to do an autumn owl design, but wanted to have a girly element in it so I added pink to the design with pink chunky glitters as an accent nail. OPI Warm and Fozzie (Review and Swatch)

I'm so glad that the weather is finally cooling down. And I get to apply my fall/autumn polishes. On my nails today is OPI Warm and Fozzie from the Muppets Collection in 2011. It's definitely one of my autumn/winter favorite nail polish shades.

Warm and Fozzie is a beautiful warm bronzy shade with very complex shimmers/particles. It has a mixture of golden bronze, green, copper, duochrome + shimmers, very unique yet wearable for everyday. The color shifts when you move the fingers at different angles. Consistency is a bit thin. It requires 3 coats to get it opaque. But the drying time was quite pleasant.

Readers, what's on your nails today? What's your favorite autumn/winter nail polish shades? Let me know in the comments!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue-Away (Review and Swatch)

I love Blue-Away from Sally Hansen Insta-Dri line. It's a beautiful pale blue creme, very opaque and dry super fast.  The brush is wide and slightly curve that makes the application so fast and easy! Above swatch was 2 coats without top coat. A very pretty shade especially for spring and summer!

Since it dries so fast, it's a great nail art kind of polish. I used this on Sun & Clouds Nail Art HERE, Starfish Nail Art HERE, and Spring Daisy Flower Nail Art HERE. The only con I can think of is the triangular shape of the polish. It's so awkward to hold and not so space-efficient, but regardless, I will still repurchase if I ever run out of this beautiful shade.

Readers, have you every tried any polishes from Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri line? any favorites?

Revlon Brilliant Strength Mesmerize (Review and Swatch)

Another belated nail post. Mesmerize from Revlon's Brilliant Strength line is a beautiful bold cyan creme. The formulation is fabulous, as I mentioned in the previous post. Mesmerize is very pigmented, you only need 2 coats max for an opaque glossy finish. Swatch above was 2 coats without base coat & top coat.

Simple Lace Nails

Hi everyone! Second post today is this cute and simple lace nails! I wanted to do a simple french but thought that was a bit too boring. So here I added a very simple lace element to the design, but still kept it simple and clean. Hope you like it ♥♥

Click the video below to see how it's done:

♥♥♥ Products Used ♥♥♥
♥ OPI Nail Envy http://amzn.to/18VEGNu
♥ Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Pink Blink http://amzn.to/1eEV3pj
♥ Sinful Colors Snow Me White http://amzn.to/17QYwMK
♥ Seche Vite Top Coat http://amzn.to/17XCfLt

What do you think about this simple lace nails design? Would you give this a try? Remember if you want a different color look, feel free to change up the colors or add glitters/rhinestones to give your designs more bling bling~ You may keep the nails nude and only paint the white lace part at the tip for more elegant/sophisticated look. Or you can paint your nail nude and add black lace at the tip.

Thanks for checking and have a fabulous weekend!!! ◕‿◕

Happy Friday everyone! Two posts for ya today. First one is this Half Moon Leopard Nails I did last weekend! This nail art has a trendy gold metallic half moon element with a touch of leopard print wildness which I think is super fall/autumn appropriate! NARS Mata Hari Blush (Review and Swatch)

NARS' Mata Hari blush is one of my favorite summer blush, and probably is my favorite blush all year round. Mata Hari is a beautiful dusty rose matte blush. On NARS's website, the color is described as "pink with a race of crimson". It looks very flattering and natural on the face, plus it's matte!

The packaging comes with a black matte rubberized finish that looks slick and compact.

Back side, made in Canada, 0.16 oz/ 4.8 g

Isn't it so gorgeous? The color is very pigmented, so it's important to use very light hand with it and slowly build it up if needed. It has a silky soft texture and a powdery-like feel, but not at all too powdery.

Here is the Mata Hari swatch on my bare arm, heavily swatched on the left, and semi-heavy blended-out swatch on the right. When applying this on the face, you only need very tiny bit of the product since it's really pigmented. The color is very easy to work with and blend, just use a light hand! (tapping your brush and/or use a stippling brush) This blush is so pretty on its own, but will look pretty with layering blush as well.

Readers, have you try NARS Mata Hari blush? How do you love it? What's your favorite NARS blushes?

Revlon Brilliant Strength Enamor (Review and Swatch)

I seriously love Revlon's new Brilliant Strength nail polish line. It claimed to have a built-in base and top coat which means you don't need base coat AND top coat with this. I personally think this is super awesome for people on the go and need to get their manicure done in no time! Enamor is a pretty and girly baby pink cream, a bit deeper than Revlon Colorstay Cafe Pink, 2 coats will give you an opaque and glossy finish ( I went for 3 coats here in the picture and sorry my manicure was not my best, the picture was from 3 months ago). The drying time is pretty fast, at least faster than I expected. Formulation is very smooth and not streaky.

The packaging is the same as Revlon's ColorStay line. The brush is wide and flat with a slight curve that makes the application way smoother and quicker than typical Revlon's nail polish brushes. I'm really glad that Revlon finally improved their brushes! One con - price,  which is definitely overpriced for drugstore polishes (I think CVS sells this for 8.49 or 8.99). Luckily there are sometimes sales on drugstore polishes, so shop around and give it a try!

Readers, have you tried any polishes from Revlon's Brilliant Strength line? What's your favorite?
