What I love the most about this lip balm is that it gives my lips an instant fix when they are dry (but not chapped). When I say instant, I was comparing this baby lips balm to my trusty Rosebud Slave lip balm which I still love. I feel like I can slap my lipstick on in no time after using baby lips. The texture is not greasy, and my lips always feel very hydrating and soothing after I applied.
As for the packaging, I love it. It's very compact and cute. It's something I'd always want to keep in the purse. And it's also more hygienic to use than lip balm pots/tins.
Maybelline says it has 12 hours hydration which I didn't see when using this product. I would say the staying power is definitely not as long as the Rosebud Slave lip balm. I felt I need to apply more often than the package advised, which is no more than 3 or 4 time a day. And that's the only con I have for this Maybelline Baby Lips balm. In order to solve this staying power problem, I like to apply baby lips first, and then a thin layer of rosebud slave lip balm (when in no makeup days). And the result was amaaaaazing!!! My lips feel so moisturized and so soft using this method.
Will I repurchase? I actually bought another one so I have one in my makeup bag/purse and one in the medicine cabinet where I put my most used lip balms. so..yes. And I might want to try others with shades!!
Have you tried any of the Baby Lips Dr. Rescue lip balms? What do you think? How do you like it?
